Coastal Rambling Routes
Our coastal routes extend from Cancale via St. Malo all the way to Pléneuf-Val- André taking in the famous 'Fort de la Latte' and 'Cap Fréhel. On these routes you will come across lovely beaches and coastal views that can only be accessed on foot.
Of course you will not ramble the total route in one day so we help you to plan the routes for each day. We offer flexibility, for example, ramble a coastal route in the morning and then visit a city / town in the afternoon.
City and Town Rambling Routes
The combination of rambling routes include many cities, towns and villages such as, Cancale, Rothéneuf, St. Malo, Dinard, Saint Lunaire, Saint Briac, Saint Jacut, Saint Cast Le Guildo, Sables D'or Les Pins, Erquy, Pléneuf Val-André, Dinan, Jugon les Lacs and many more.
Rambling Through the Forests
The three main forests local to us are Forét de St. Aubin, Forét de la Hundaudaye and forét Domaniale and many smaller woodland areas. Autumn ramblers favouring mushroom hunting will find no better place than in our local forests and woodlands. On your return to the hotel with your collection of mushrooms we offer cooking facilities so you can taste those mushrooms
Lake and River Rambling Routes.
We have our own lake district as it were. Starting out from the village of Jugon les Lacs, 'Etang de Jugon' awaits you with a 16Km rambling route taking 4h30 to complete. From Jugon les Lacs heading for the sea via Plancoet there is the meandering river, l'Arguenon.
Close to Plancoet in the village of St. Potan a new rambling route was opened recently and takes in the Local lake.
Then there is the grand area known as 'Bassin de la Rance' where there are many walking routes. This waterway connects the medieval town of Dinan with the sea. Some of the rambling routes include Plouer sur Rance, the lovely village of Saint Suliac and Le Minihic sur rance.
In addition to the rambling routes there are the many features and objects of historical interest to view. Ranging from the Neolithic Age, Celtic Times, Viking settlement, Roman Times, French Invasion, French Revolution, Monuments, Medieval Towns and wonderful scenery.
